The main industry of Rockport-Fulton is fishing (commercial and sport) and tourism. Our little town is filled with condos and RV parks where people from up north come to spend the winter. We are ideally situated on the Gulf Coast with a barrier island to protect our harbor, which is filled with many pleasure boats and a shrimping fleet, making it a haven for the sportsmen and women.

          Our little “fishing village/artists’ colony” has grown considerably since people have discovered the Charm of the Texas Coast. Being named one of the 10 best places to retire by the Travel 50 & Beyond magazine helped boost the influx of people to retire and as a winter haven from the cold and snow of the northern climes. 

          The Rockport Computer Users’ Group is helping to educate those who are not familiar with computers and  give classes to help educate them. We also offer the free use of computers for those who do not have a computer of their own. We always have people who are knowledgeable and ready to help anyone who needs help.
